I'd only found a 'theme' version (for kids? Simpsons, kitty, etc), and the AV Labs one.Īt $80 the latter is way out of the game - I've seen these key chain viewers as low as $9.95, and normal pricing seems to be $15-25. There are heaps out there that work with a mac, did you try doing a google search Of course:-). And it will probably cost at least US$40 to buy, so it depends whether there's any sentimental value attached to that particular display, how much a new LED display costs, whether the quality is as good etc.

Is it an intel MB? Does an emulation, without having to purchase Windows.Īnd it has a try-before-you-buy, to see if the if the keyring software is supported. And as you probably saw it's Windows only 'Win 2K, XP & Vista' You could try a Windows emulator on the MB to see if that works. is available in Australia? Curious - it seems to display proprietary slideshows, not JPEGS.

My wife's quite fond of the idea of the keychain viewer, and thus I need to come up with a way to make it work to keep her happy:-) The easiest solution looks to be to replace it with something that 'just works' on her Macbook - anyone know of one of these products that provides Mac software.and. Whilst the packaging claims it supports JPEGs, I suspect it means the software supports JPEGs and converts them into whatever the keychain itself requires I was hoping to just be able to copy over 128x128 jpgs, but no. On connecting via USB it presents a small ISO-9660 (CD ROM) image with the windows software on it (DPFMate), and the rest of the 256 MB disk is in a format unknown to Disk Utility.
My wife was given a one of those dinky little OLED keychain photo viewers for Christmas - alas it's Window's only (brand is ). Using DPF manager, you can create selected copies of your precious images onto the root directory of the card so that your DPF plays only the things you want people to see, in the order you want them to be seen. Most DPFs can take Compact Flash or SD cards but unfortunately they play ALL files stored in the root directory which could include scans, PDFs and maybe even some files you wouldn't want people to see. Many cameras take removable memory cards such as SD or Compact Flash and store the images in a sub-directory called DCIM. If you have a quantity of images for say a Word document but don't want to end up with a massive file size then DPF Manager can reduce the images to a manageable amount. In fact DPF Manager can be used to change the order of many different things. It can also be used to create slideshows for Desktop PCs, Laptops, tablets and Mobile Phones.
